As the official Library Dog, Calhoun is the there to provide the perfect, non-judgmental reading partner for young children who are trying to build their confidence reading aloud. Beloved by the staff of Sangaree as well as the children, Calhoun has even taken up the responsibility of a therapy dog to those at the school having a particularly bad day, as he tends to be able to brighten any day with a wag of his tail and a kiss on the nose.
